Setting in seamlessly

  • Replace HVAC air filters

  • Locate water shut off and electrical panel

  • Test all doors, locks and windows (note: even doors or windows in garage.)

  • Run all plumbing fixtures

  • Set thermostat schedule for efficiency

  • Register appliances for warranty.

    TIP: Save all manuals and warranties in one place for easy access.

  • Test all GFCI switches

  • Set up wifi, internet, cameras, doorbell, alarm system, and all other SMART components.

  • Know how to operate your irrigation system.

  • Set humidity levels (ideal 45-55%)

  • Consider a dehumidifier (especially near water).

  • Air purifier for main living areas.

  • Know where your water heater is and how to shut it off.

  • Turn on and test ice maker, dishwasher and washer/dryer.

  • Change all garage codes, door codes etc, once construction has ended.

CARING FOR YOUR HOME

Designed beautifully. Maintained intentionally.

  • Cabinetry and Millwork- Clean with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid excess moisture. You may also use a soft duster.

  • Stone Surfaces (Quartzite, Marble, Dolomite, Quartz etc.)- Use pH neutral cleaners ONLY. Wipe spills IMMEDIATELY. Seal natural stone as recommended.

  • Upholstery and Rugs-Vacuum weekly. Rotate cushions. Schedule Professional Cleaning as needed.

  • Plumbing Fixtures- Avoid abrasive cleaners. Clean aerators periodically.

  • Lighting- Dust regularly to maintain clarity and brilliance…like jewelry for your home.

  • Rinse off outdoor area and surfaces bi-weekly if living near salt water to prevent corrosion.

  • Add timers for all landscape lighting and outdoor fixtures.

  • Always make sure you have extra paint and tile (labeled clearly.).

  • Add door sweeps and check seals on doors and windows regularly.
